Simon Pegg stars as Jack, a children's author turned crime novelist with a troubling obsession with Victorian serial killers. Paranoid and skittish thanks to his long hours of research, Jack begins to fear everything and everyone he meets. When his agents gets in touch with a big career opportunity, Jack is faced with the terrifying prospect of going to the laundrette to make himself presentable. So, armed with a carving knife for protection, he goes out into the dangerous streets of London, and head first into a whole heap of trouble.
